Biography

Management School ESSCA

Vincent Calvez holds a doctorate in management from the École polytechnique and a Master’s degree from HEC-Montréal, and has a dual nationality and a dual culture, Canadian and French. Professor of management at ESSCA, Vincent has been working for more than twenty-five years in the training professions. Passionate about these challenges, he has incorporated creativity into his teaching practice in order to bring students, trainees and executives in training to find answers but also to question themselves.

In this regard, he has strongly contributed in revitalizing the approach to critical incidents, the use of which has been an undeniable success for many years and on several continents, with a diversity of pedagogues he trained.

Creativity also rules his research’s works. They concern creative organisations, the problems and opportunities raised by atypical and deviant leaders, organisational crises and the question of the sustainability of family businesses.

Vincent Calvez is also in charge of developing an institute focusing on family businesses. Therefore it is essential to Vincent, particularly through field surveys, to try to uncover unique and new issues in order to provide questions and answers, to the various target audiences.
