Biography

Assistant Professor of Accountancy Vic Anand has been a member of the Gies accounting faculty since 2017. In 2020, he was named an Arthur Andersen Fellow and has also been honored by the College with recognition as an RC Evans Data Analytics Fellow and a John Deere Analytics Teaching Fellow. His responsibilities include developing and delivering innovative curriculum that provides students with the data science knowledge and skills to become leaders in business analytics. After earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from MIT, Vic worked as an engineer and financial analyst at Ford Motor Company. He earned an MBA from Carnegie Mellon and an M.S. and PhD in accounting from Cornell University. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Vic also conducts research using machine learning to predict changes in company profits.
