BIOGRAPHY
Uther Charlton-Stevens is a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland. Charlton-Stevens completed his doctorate in South Asian History, with a thesis entitled ‘Decolonising Anglo-Indians: strategies for a mixed-race community in late colonial India during the first half of the 20th century’, at the University of Oxford, under the supervision of Judith Brown and Francis Robinson.
Anglo-Indians and Minority Politics in South Asia: Race, Boundary Making and Communal Nationalism (2018), his first book, was published by Routledge, U.K., for the Royal Asiatic Society Books series.
