Biography

Troy Kane is an experienced capital markets and derivatives professional with expertise in market structure, strategic business development and algorithmic trading. Kane currently serves as head of business development for the Americas at Citadel Securities, where he is responsible for managing trading partnerships across equity, futures, options and FICC products while identifying opportunities for growth in new products, asset classes and/or geographies. Other responsibilities include partnering with investment banks and industry professionals to identify potential M&A and strategic investment opportunities.

Kane began his career working on the trading floors of the Chicago Board of Trade at the age of 14 and has more than 20 years of experience in the commodity and financial derivatives industry, with 16 of those years spent at CME Group. Before joining Citadel, Kane was head of strategy for financial products, responsible for tactical coordination of the development and execution for CME's financial and over-the-counter business lines (equities, interest rates and foreign exchange) strategies, technology projects and key strategic initiatives which were both organic and inorganic.

In 2014, Kane was named one of DePaul's outstanding alumni under 40 and currently serves on the Finance Advisory Board and the Alumni Sharing Knowledge Network at ​DePaul.
