Dr. Balboni is a radiation oncologist who focuses on the multidisciplinary management of cancer patients with metastatic disease, and clinically serves within the Spine Tumor Program, the Stereotactic Bone Radiotherapy Program, and within the Supportive and Palliative Radiation Oncology Service at the Dana-Farber/Brigham Cancer Center. She currently serves as Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School and as Program Director for the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program. She holds degrees from Stanford University, Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health. She is dually boarded in radiation oncology and palliative medicine. Dr. Balboni’s primary research interests are located at the intersection of oncology, palliative care, and the role of spirituality in the experience of life-threatening illness.
