Biography

Dr. Torsten Schaper studied business administration at the Justus Liebig University of Gießen. In his diploma thesis he dealt with internet-based securities trading. His thesis was awarded with the Paul Julius Reuter Innovation Award. Afterwards, he worked as consultant and project manager in the financial industry and was graduate research assistant at the Chair of e-Finance. He completed his dissertation on the topic “Managing Post-Trading Infrastructures – Regulatory and IT Challenges”.

Torsten headed the Regulatory Analysis of Deutsche Börse for almost ten years. He has a lectureship on “Current Topics in Securities Trading and Post-Trading” at the Goethe University since 2014. His current position is Manager Business Development at Universal Investment-Labs.
