Background

Timothy W. Koch (Ph.D., Purdue University, 1976) is a professor of banking and finance and served as chair of the Department of Finance from 2004 to 2009. He is the author of a textbook, Bank Management, published by Thomson South-Western, and a book, General Banking, used in state banking schools. In addition, he has authored articles which have appeared in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Futures Markets, National Tax Journal, Journal of Banking and Finance, Business Economics, Journal of Bank Research, Journal of Portfolio Management, Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Fixed Income, Journal of Economics and Business, Journal of Commercial Bank Lending, Municipal Finance Journal, Journal of International Money and Finance, and others. He has served as a consultant to financial institutions and is the president of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.

Research

His current research interests include the pricing of fixed income securities and derivatives, bank management, and banking structure.
