Biography

Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education

Tim runs Cambridge Executive Education's tailored leadership and management development programmes for partners from professional services firms, and is involved in research into various aspects of professional services firm management, in particular the appraisal and performance management of partners.

Before moving to Cambridge Judge Business School Tim was with international law firm Herbert Smith, which he had joined after graduating in law from St John's College, Cambridge in 1978. At Herbert Smith he was a partner for 20 years and during this time he developed a wide-ranging corporate practice, particularly in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and capital markets transactions. Tim was managing partner of Herbert Smith's Asia practice for a number of years in the 1990s and, following his return to the UK, he chaired their partner promotions committee, an experience that served to heighten his interest in the development of professional service firm associates and partners.
