Biography

UCONN - University of Connecticut

With over 30 years of experience, I am an accomplished executive who has a history of driving sustainable improvement in organizations through the creation of a shared vision, focus on continuous improvement, implementation of lean principles and empowering and holding people accountable for results. I create an environment focused on safety, high ethical standards and treating people with mutual respect.

I’ve turned around underperforming business units worldwide and have expanded profit margins through implementation of processes, tools, methods and a focus on execution.

I have a strong focus on Engineering, Product Strategy and Operations with the goal of driving improved quality and higher customer value at a lower cost. I am a strong believer in implementing a structured product development process and a strong program management function to reduce product development cycle time. By focusing on DFx and linking engineering and operations, the total product cost can be optimized. I am a strong proponent of implementing advanced modeling and simulation tools into the product development process. I have led engineering centers in Asia, North America, South America, Europe and Australia and have created new product development centers in China and India.
