Biography
Tom Hambury is a senior lecturer of management communications at the Johnson Graduate School of Management, where he teaches courses in management writing and presentations. He has taught management communication in the Baker Program in Real Estate and the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and similar courses at the University of Rochester and Vanderbilt University.
Hambury has extensive background in MBA program administration. From 2000-2011, he served as director of the Executive MBA Program at the Johnson School at Cornell. From 1990-2000, he was director of the Executive MBA Program and Executive Education at Vanderbilt University. From 1986-1990, Hambury was assistant dean for MBA programs at the University of Rochester.
Hambury''s prior experience includes ten years in human resource management, first as manager of compensation and employment at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and later as manager of staff development and training at the University of Rochester.
He holds a BA from Dartmouth College, an MA from Tulane University, a PhD from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, and an MBA from the University of Rochester.
