Biography

Prof. Dr. Thomas Breisach looks back on over 25 years of professional experience in the media, international corporations and consultancies. Among other things, he was Head of Communication responsible for the global communication of the vitamin division of the Basel pharmaceutical company F. Hoffmann-La Roche and worked as a manager for the Danish biotech group Novozymes and as managing director for the MCG Medical Consulting Group GmbH & Co KG. He has been the owner of Breisach Consulting since 2012.

During his management activities, he studied strategy and marketing at IMD Lausanne and at the St. Gallen Business School (SGBS) and completed his marketing studies at the SGBS with a diploma. Prof. Dr. Thomas Breisach is Strategic Projects Member of the global network of the Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) and Talent of the global consulting network of the Business Talent Group (BTG) .

The advocate of strategic pragmatism is professor for health and social management at the FOM University of Economics and Management in Munich . As part of the Institute for Health and Social Affairs, his research focuses on:

1) Strategy development 2) communication and marketing 3) Medicines and ingredients (e.g. micronutrients) 4) international food and health policy and economics .

Prof. Breisach is a member of the scientific advisory board of the German Medical Award as well as the health and social policy advisory board of BARMER Bayern.
