Boston University
Susan Walker is a veteran journalist, producing newscasts, special event coverage and news websites, as well as the Emmy Award-winning news series Project Radon. She has worked at the CBS, NBC and ABC affiliates in Boston as well as producing video projects for companies such as Nokia and Hewlett-Packard.
Professor Walker is also a documentary film-maker; her recent documentary A Tale of Two Teens, along with a curriculum guide, teaches high school students about AIDS through distribution to classrooms and websites in the United States and abroad. She teaches a variety of television and online journalism courses at BU and is a director of the New Media Consortium. Professor Walker is currently working on a book about the world’s first passenger jet.
