Prof. Sukran N. Atadeniz (formerly Kadipasaoglu) started her academic career in the Decision and Information Sciences Department of the C.T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston in 1993. After her promotion to Associate Professor in 1999, she went on sabbatical to work as Supply Chain Consultant at Aspen Technology in Houston. Upon her return to the University of Houston, in 2002, she initiated the Supply Chain Research Center which she directed until 2008. In Houston, she also served as VP of Education of the Houston Chapter of the American Production and Inventory Management Society (APICS).

Prof. Atadeniz returned to Istanbul, received Professorship at Bahcesehir University in 2009 and served as Chair of the Industrial Engineering Dept. until February 2011. She was offered the position of Dean of the School of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Istanbul Kemerburgaz University where she served for two years. Then she moved to Yeditepe University where she served as Dean of the School of Economics and Administrative Sciences from April 2013 to December 2016, Vice President from October 2013 to April 2015, and Professor at the Department of Management from September 2012 to February 2017.

In the Fall of 2017, Prof. Atadeniz moved back to US. She was a faculty member at the Department of Management, Clemson University from Fall 2017 to Fall 2018. From Fall of 2018 to 2020 she served as visiting professor at the Cameron School of Business, The University of St. Thomas Houston. Currently, she lectures in the US and Turkish higher education institutions.

Prof. Atadeniz was the founding VP of the Round Table of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (2009-2010), chaired the European Decision Science Institute (EDSI) 2012 Conference in Istanbul, and served as President of the European Region of DSI from July 2012-June 2013. She has since been an active member of EDSI Executive Committee.

Prof. Atadeniz published research papers on Production Planning & Control, Quality, and Supply Chain Management, worked in supply chain projects of various global firms, received training on the SCOR model from the Supply Chain Council, on Supply Chain IT at Aspen Technology, and on ERP from SAP America and Germany. She was the SAP University Alliance Coordinator at the University of Houston and Bahcesehir and Yeditepe Universities, and holds the SAP TERP10 certification.
