Biography

The Wharton School

I enjoy exploring innovation and commercialization opportunities within the medical device, diagnostics and pharmaceuticals industries. I am especially passionate about brainstorming with physician inventors and bioengineers with the goal of incubating discovery, using strategic alliances, joint ventures, in-licensing or out-licensing, whatever technology transfer model works best. My close working relationship with Myron Block in his later years was especially rewarding, as we worked together on his proprietary kromoscopic sensor technology and his patent portfolio advancing his medical device discovery for non-invasive glucose determination.

I like people steeped with creativity and innovation. As an entrepreneur I look to engage myself with bright people who know how to think outside of the box. As an educator I welcome the opportunities to bridge transformative educational models that will give aspiring medical professionals their break, with the goal of advancing global healthcare.

In my non-professional life I am privileged to be an active member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of an affordable housing non-profit corporation providing housing for the elderly and other eligible occupants, where I get to delve into intense financial analyses, critical thinking and attention to diversity.
