Steven Smith is Corporate Vice President and Director of Capgemini University since 2006. His focus is delivering learning solutions which bring measurable results to the Capgemini organization, individuals, and teams. His approach facilitates the creation of professional communities which contribute to continual update of Capgemini’s knowledge and methodology bases. Steven joined Capgemini in 1997 as Program Director, International Management and drove the development, evolution, organization, coordination and functioning of the Group’s High Potential Program for future transnational leaders, as well as for Young Professionals. He has been Capgemini, Ernst & Young Director of Education from 2000 to 2005. Prior to joining Capgemini, Steven worked in strategy and development at Alcatel-Lucent during the booming years of telecommunications, and prior to that was in marketing for L’Oreal. Born and raised in Michigan, Steven now considers Paris, where he has lived since 1988, home. Steven’s background is in economics, marketing and strategy - all of which he integrates into his approach to learning. Steven is graduate of the University of Michigan (1985) and has a MBA of the Ecole de Management de Lyon, France (1988) and has participated in Executive Education Programs with IMD, London Business School, Insead and Stanford.
