Steven A. Davis served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Bob Evans Farms, Inc. from 2006 to 2015. Bob Evans Farms, is a $1.4B diversified and integrated restaurant and packaged foods company (NASDAQ:BOBE). Before joining Bob Evans Farms, Inc., Davis worked for Yum! Brands. He was President of Long John Silver’s A&W All-American Food Restaurants from December 2002 to May 2006. Prior to his presidency, he served in a variety of operations management and other executive positions in Yum! Brands from 1993 to 2002; including Senior Vice President of Pizza Hut, where he and his team introduced the first WingStreet® concept into the Pizza Hut brand. There are now over 4,000 WingStreet® locations nationwide. Before working with Yum! Brands, Davis worked for Kraft General Foods from 1984 to 1993 in a series of senior brand leadership positions where he launched several successful new products and marketing campaigns for household brands such as Philadelphia® Brand Cream Cheese, Deluxe Slices®, Cheez Whiz®, Velveeta® , and Budget Gourmet® . Since 2019, Davis is a board Member of PPG Industries, the world’s largest diversified Global coatings company. He is a member of the Nominating and Governance and the Technology Committees (NYSE:PPG) Since 2015, Davis is a board member for the Albertsons Companies, the second largest privately held company in the US. He is a member of the Audit Committee and the Risk and Compliance Committees. Since 2013, Davis is a board member for the Marathon Petroleum Corporation and has served on the Audit committee, and is a member of the Compensation committee and the Corporate Governance and Nominating committees. Marathon Petroleum Corporation, is the nation’s largest refiner of crude oil, and owns or operates over 12,000 retail outlets in +30 states across the country under the Marathon and Speedway brand names (NYSE:MPC). From 2015 to 2017, Davis was a board member for the Sonic Corporation, America’s largest drive-in restaurant chain with over 5,000 locations. He was a member of the Audit committee. From 2009 to 2015 he was a member of the board of directors of the Walgreen Co., the nation’s largest drugstore chain, which operates more than 8,200 locations worldwide, and served as the chair of the Nominating and Corporate governance committee and was a member of the Compensation committee, and previously served on the Finance committee (NASDAQ:WAG). From 2006 to 2009, Davis served as a director of CenturyLink (NYSE:CTL), a $18.1B telecommunications firm and was on the Audit committee and Nominating and Corporate Governance committee. In July 2011, he was appointed by the Governor of the State of Ohio to the board of directors of JobsOhio, Ohio's private, nonprofit corporation leading Ohio’s job creation and economic development activities. Davis served on the Ohio Business Roundtable, the Columbus Partnership and Compete Columbus, which also focuses on economic development.

From 2017-2011, Davis was a member of The Business Council, the association of Chief Executive Officers of the world’s most influential business enterprises. He also served on the board of directors of the National Restaurant Association from 2007 to 2009. Davis is active in nonprofit work as well. Since 2017, he has served on the International Board of Directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF raises money for research for Type 1 diabetes. From 2006 to 2014, he served on the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute at The Ohio State University Foundation Board. In 2012, he served as co-chair of The Ohio State University Medical Center Fund Raising Campaign, and in 2007, served as chair for the Mid-Ohio Food bank’s Operation Feed, which provides food for needy families in Central Ohio. In 2013 and 2014, Davis served as chair of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Family Walk. Davis served on the Central Ohio JDRF Board from 2015 to 2017 as the Nominating and Governance Chair. In 2017, he and his wife Lynnda were awarded JDRF’s Central Ohio “Buckeye Promise Award” for their family’s philanthropic and volunteer efforts in the Central Ohio community. He has been a guest lecturer at The Ohio State University Fisher Graduate School of business since 2009. In November 2014 the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee awarded Davis with their Alumni Association’s 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award. Davis is also the recipient of the 2014 Pioneer of Diversity award from the Champions of Diversity organization in partnership with the Columbus, Ohio NAACP branch. Under Davis’ leadership, Bob Evans Farms was awarded in 2012, 2013 and 2014 the 2020 Women on Boards award for achieving 20% female representation on its board of directors. Davis is an alumnus of INROADS, a nonprofit organization that aims to develop and place talented minority youth in business and industry to prepare them for corporate and community leadership. He was honored with the first INROADS National Leadership Award in March 2011. In 2012, he was honored by The Ohio State University with the William E. Nelson Community Warrior Award for Business for his efforts in advancing the role of African Americans in Columbus. He served as chairman of the board for Summerbridge Louisville, an educational assistance program from 2003 to 2006. In Dallas, TX, he served on Turner 12 Board of Directors, an organization that provided assistance to lower-income children to attend college, from 2000 to 2003. From 2005-2015, Black Enterprise Magazine named Davis as one of the 75 Most Powerful Black Men in American Business. In 2013, he was featured in Black Enterprise Magazine’s Registry of Corporate Directors list, which highlights African American board members from the 250 largest companies on the S&P 500. In 2010, Davis appeared on the cover of Who’s Who In Black Columbus. Davis holds a Master of Business Administration in marketing and finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. In 2007, Rio Grande University awarded him an honorary doctorate degree in Public Service. He resides in New Albany, OH with his wife, Lynnda, and have three children.
