Rutgers Business School

Steffen Hitzemann is an Assistant Professor in the Finance and Economics department. Before joining Rutgers, he spent 2 years as a Visiting Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University, and one year at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, as a visiting scholar. He received his Ph.D. from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, and did parts of his Ph.D. work at Princeton University.

Hitzemann’s research is on macro-finance, asset pricing, and derivatives markets. Some of his papers especially focus on energy markets as well as environmental markets for climate protection. Hitzemann teaches Aggregate Economic Analysis in the MBA and Master of Financial Analysis programs.
