Simon Constantine is a Consultant Lecturer at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and a Teaching Fellow at University College London. His work addresses recent documentary photography, with a particular focus on large-scale projects and photobooks which seek to map, criticize or conceptualize the contemporary global economy. He has presented papers at a range of institutions, including SOAS, the University of Birmingham, Roma Tre University and the Institute of Historical Research, and worked as an editor for the journal parallax. Before coming to Sotheby’s Institute, Constantine taught at the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds.
