Biography
Sihai Yang received his BSc in Chemistry from Peking University (2007) under the supervision of Professors Guobao Li and Jianhua Lin, and PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from University of Nottingham (2011) under the supervision of Professor M. Schröder. He has been awarded the Dorothy Hodgkin Postgraduate Award in 2007, EPSRC PhD Plus Fellowship in 2010, the Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship in 2011, and the Nottingham Research Fellowship in 2013. In 2015, he is appointed as a Lecturer in Inorganic Chemistry at the School of Chemistry, University of Manchester. His awards include Nottingham University Endowed Postgraduate Prize for 2010/2011, the Barker Prize for the most outstanding oral presentation at 3rd postgraduate symposium of University of Nottingham in 2010, the Diamond Young Investigator Award of 2011, the Honourable Mention Award of International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) Prize for 2012 Young Chemists, the Institute of Physics B T M Willis Prize for 2013.
