Sierra Gullette

Sierra Gullette is the recipient of the Barton Kyle Yount Award, the most prestigious award at Thunderbird, demonstrating exceptional leadership and selflessly giving her time and effort to enhance the experience of fellow students and better Thunderbird. She also received the Dean's Circle Award for her leadership and accomplishment at Thunderbird School of Global Managment.

She is a creative problem solver with a knack for efficiency and excitement for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. She has a finance and education background and is currently pursuing her love of business, culture, and travel at the #1 ranked Thunderbird School of Global Management. She is the recipient of the Thunderbird Global Excellence Scholarship and the Texas Alumni Scholarship. She was a member of the Campus Ambassador Leadership Team and was the VP of Operations for the Asia Regional Club (ARC). Sierra was the Student Experience Director for the Thunderbird Student Government in Fall 2019 where she was the liaison between student clubs and the Thunderbird executive team as well as the main point person for the semi-annual Regional Night.

While at Lone Star Capital Bank, Sierra received a leadership promotion to Loan Administration Supervisor, after only eight months. She led a team of three and cross-collaborated with the credit, operations, compliance, accounting and implementation departments. She engineered 15 of 30 board reports using CSI IQ, slashing the board report preparation time by over 80%. She also re-designed the loan verification process, cutting out two manual spreadsheets and decreasing the verification time by 67%. Sierra was crowned “Quiz Bowl “Champion in 2018 and won the “Adrenaline Seeker” Award at the Annual LSCB Awards Ceremony in 2019.
Sierra will visit every country in the world over the next 50 years. She has already planned which countries to visit each year. She is excited to work for a company where she can continuously exercise her global mindset and travel to reach her goals! She is also looking to grow her wealth of knowledge and be an asset to whichever company she is with.
