Dr. Sheila Ryan Barnett assumed the position of Chief Medical Officer of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Milton in September, 2019. Prior to her appointment, she spent four years as the hospital's Chief of Anesthesiology and as a member of the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. With Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Dr. Barnett held several multidisciplinary positions including Chair of the Interventional Procedure Committee, Director of Graduate Medical Education and Medical Director of the Transfer Center. Dr. Barnett is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Harvard Medical School.
