Associate Professor Koh is the Programme Director for Year 2 undergraduate students at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies. Her teaching areas include professionalism, ethics and law, women’s and children’s health, research and evidence-based practice, leadership and management, patient safety and interprofessional education.

As a practitioner, A/Prof Koh served as Deputy Director, Clinical Quality & Safety Division at the Ministry of Health, Singapore from 2009 to 2016, developing the National Quality Assurance (QA) framework, patient safety strategies, clinical risk systems and national accreditation across the continuum of care.

Since 1995, A/Prof Koh has also worked in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital as a midwife, extending her role to include research and teaching from 2001. Her research interests lie in evidence-based practice and patient safety. A/Prof Koh has vast experiences in supporting, promoting and implementing evidence-based practice, and has coordinated various research activities, initiated and developed numerous nursing quality improvement and risk management strategies to improve the quality of care for patients, patient safety, and outcomes.
