Sean’s firm but fair approach is the bedrock of his working style. For him, it’s about “treating everyone with respect – independence is key”. Given the breadth of clients, stakeholders and relationships that encompass his practice, using this approach successfully has been critical to his career in the industry.
Outside of work, Sean is a keen participant in triathlons and winds down with a variety of armchair sport interests. Aside from the value of a good pair of running shoes, one thing this has taught him is that determination and creating the right structure for success leads to great results. Enjoying new challenges, personally and professionally, Sean applies his energy to achieve more for his practice and his team.
Sean’s role as Director sees him as a leader of the highly skilled Restructuring & Insolvency team which provides the entire range of corporate and personal insolvency administration related services including liquidations, receiverships, creditors’ trusts, expert reporting, fraud investigations, bankruptcies and personal insolvency agreements.
As a Registered Liquidator, Trustee in Bankruptcy and Certified Fraud Examiner ,practicing since 2001, Sean applies his experience with a hands-on approach as appointee on external administrations and to his clients.
Bankruptcy administration, forensic investigation and restructuring strategies for struggling small to medium sized businesses are Sean’s specialty. As an expert in insolvent trading safe harbour protection strategies, Sean is able to help find the best possible outcome for businesses to avoid formal insolvency.
A passion for insolvency, financial turnaround and successful business administration leads Sean to contribute to the development of his profession through his involvement with Chartered Accountants ANZ, various University engagements and regular presentations to industry groups.
