Biography

Sean joined the Manchester Centre for Health Economics in 2013 and has a research interest in the generation of evidence to estimate the relative cost-effectiveness of diagnostic health technologies. Sean is contributing to the economic analysis workstrand of the MASTERPLANSconsortium, funded by the Medical Research Council''s Stratified Medicine Initiative, to produce economic evidence supporting a stratified approach to the management of systemic lupus erythematosus. Sean''s previous research, funded by a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Manchester Musculoskeletal Biomedical Research Unit studentship, developed the economic evidence base for stratified medicine in rheumatoid arthritis and produced an early model-based cost-effectiveness analysis of a biomarker test to stratify biologic therapies.
