ASPE | Techtown

Scott Duncan has been involved in software engineering, quality assurance, process improvement, methods, standards, training and consulting since 1972. He has over 15 years of Agile software development experience, including 9 years as a Certified Scrum Master. Prior to working in Agile environments, Scott has also worked with traditional development projects.

Since 2005 Scott has been a full time trainer of Scrum and Agile methods. He has spoken at dozens of conferences, both in the United States and abroad. Scott has also been a US representative to ISO/IEC SC7/JTC1 standards work, and has been on the IEEE System and Software Standards Committee. Besides being a CSP, Scott has held ASQ's CSQE certification and has been trained as an ISO 9001 TickIT auditor and in both the CMM(R) and CMMI(R).

Scott is the Lead Coach & Trainer at Agile Software Qualities. Scott also works as a Software Quality Professional Resource Editor for ASQ. He has extensive experience as an Agile Coach, including working as a coach to over 130 Scrum teams across 10 countries for a major software company. Scott has also served on the Scrum Alliance Board of Directors.

Education/Credentials: Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Arts in English Literature from Temple University.
