Biography
Cardiff Business School
Sarah has worked closely with a range of private and public sector organisations to design and facilitate leadership development programmes, and was Director of the Executive MBA at Cardiff Business School for three years.
She has a particular interest in strategies for supporting the reflexive and collaborative practice of leaders, including the theory and practice of coaching and storytelling. Current research projects include an evaluation of a ‘leader as coach’ initiative in the workplace, and the role of coaching as part of the Executive MBA educational expericne.
Sarah is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Association.
Sarah has held a number of management roles including Deputy Head of the Management, Organisation & Employment (MEO) section. She is a member of the Business School’s Shadow Management Board and the Steering Group for Academic Engagement that is part of the University’s Education Portfolio for Change. She was an elected member of the Council of the British Academy of Management with a specific role in the development of the ‘Management Knowledge & Education’ initiative. Sarah has undertaken a number of external examiner responsibilities, including most recently at the University of West of England.
