Sara Brown, a graduate of Miami University (‘84) and the University of Arizona (‘85), has been the director of the Programs in Athletic Training at Boston University since 1991. In addition to her duties as a clinical associate professor at BU, she also serves as the chair of the NATA’s Executive Committee for Education and acts as a site visitor for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Previously, Sara has held positions on the Board of Certification (BOC) Board of Directors including BOC President (2005-2007) and BOC Vice President (2001-2005). Prior to coming to BU, she worked as an athletic trainer at Syracuse University and Ohio University. She received the Athletic Trainer of the Year Award from ATOM in 2008.
