Singularity University

Sandra Miller is an executive leader experienced in open innovation, corporate and start-up engagement, strategic partnerships, and entrepreneurship. She is an expert in innovation and entrepreneurship education and played a founding role in the formation and growth of two world-renown entrepreneurship education programs: the Kauffman Foundation’s Labs for Enterprise Creation and the Stanford Biodesign Program, which has been replicated by more than 30 programs globally.

As the first Managing Director of the Singularity Labs startup accelerator, Sandra managed a portfolio of globally distributed startups developing technologies such as 3D printing in space, synthetic biology, artificial intelligence and robotics; supporting the portfolio to raise investments of more than $100 million during her tenure. She is Emeritus Co-Chair of Singularity University’s Entrepreneurship track.

Recently, she was with Accenture’s Global Open Innovation team, where she engaged technology-based startup companies, startup accelerators, venture capital firms and top tier research universities to generate transformative and disruptive ideas to identify new opportunities to mutually benefit startups and global Fortune 500 corporate clients across many different sectors and industries. Sandra was also Managing Director of The Angels’ Forum, a leading angel investor group in Silicon Valley (now Mighty Capital) and she has advised hundreds of early-stage, technology-based companies.

Sandra is an invited speaker on topics such as technology innovation, startup ecosystems, entrepreneurship, fundraising, leadership, managing effective innovation teams and the commercialization of university research. She is an Advisor to startups in Silicon Valley, including: Arterys, Hancock Medical and Luma Therapeutics.
