Biography

ISDI

Sandra de Soto is a multifaceted professional whose journey began with childhood dreams of becoming a designer. From a young age, She found solace and enjoyment in painting as a hobby. While it started as a pastime, she never believed it could become a way of life.

With a strong academic background in both Law and International Business Administration (ADE), she embarked on a six-year career as a risk and insurance consultant, specializing in M&A and Project Finance. This experience involved analyzing over 80 deals, which instilled a strategic business mindset.

Yet, her creativity yearned for expression. During spare moments, she found joy in crafting and selling jewelry to friends and family, creating a bridge between artistry and commerce.

A pivotal realization dawned upon her one day: proficiency in one's work can only reach its zenith when one truly enjoys it.

Driven by this insight, she made a bold decision. She invested savings in a Digital Business Master's program (Master In Internet Business - MIB) at ISDI, leaving behind a stable job. It was akin to parting with a long-term relationship, but she believed in taking a leap of faith.

Entrepreneurial spirit ignited within her, leading to the question: "What if I launch an online store for my jewelry, applying everything learned in the Master's program?"

Doubters labeled her as eccentric.

Passion for design grew, and after completing the Master's, she embarked on a transformative journey, enrolling in an intensive UX/UI design Bootcamp at Neoland. Surrounded by graphic designers, she remained the one seeking a business-oriented approach.

Simultaneously, she continued with the e-commerce venture and explored diverse learning opportunities, even volunteering as a digital consultant at the Botín Foundation.

The path was arduous, exceptionally challenging.

Yet, eventually, she began selling successful freelance projects, witnessing a return on investment for her studies and effort.

Accenture recognized her potential, offering a role in their Strategic Design team. Over four years, she evolved from an analyst to a consultant, now serving as a Manager of Innovation—an accelerated career progression in their eyes.

Furthermore, she remains connected to ISDI, transitioning from being a UX/UI teacher to taking on the additional role of coordinating the Marketing course for the DMBA.

Upon joining Accenture, she bid farewell to the jewelry e-commerce venture. It had served as the first step into the digital world, and, honestly, she never truly wanted to be solely a jeweler. Her true passion lies in conceptualizing and solving complex problems through user-centered design solutions with a tangible economic impact.

Today, she continues to design on weekends as a freelance endeavor, turning her hobby into a source of income. At Accenture, she collaborates on exciting projects, crafting strategies, products, services, experiences, business models, value propositions, culture and ways of working, and branding that resonate with clients and users alike.
