Sammi Grant

Sammi is a proud member of the disability community and strives to make her teaching anti-racist and accessible to all. Her work with voice and speech focuses on providing students with awareness and expansion of skills as well as giving students space to explore what their voices want to say through their acting. in addition to teaching for IWU, Sammi is an Adjunct Professor of Voice and Speech at The Theatre School at DePaul University.

Prior to that, she taught at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She also teaches for Access Acting Academy, a training program for blind and low vision actors. Sammi works as a dialect/vocal coach for theatre, film and television, primarily in Chicago. In 2017, she made a video with BuzzFeed called “How to Do 12 Different accents,” and the video went viral.
