Russ McCallian

Russ came to CCL® from a successful career as a C-level executive leading the human resources function for global companies in diverse industries that included mining, manufacturing, civil engineering and consumer products. Prior to his senior executive roles, Russ consulted in the organization development and business process management fields with Booz Allen, Raymond James, and other consulting firms. Russ brings to CCL a broad and diverse range of business, leadership, training and organization development experience.

A former Army Lt. Colonel, Russ worked in the human Intelligence and counter-intelligence fields, as well as spending six years as a senior instructor for the Army’s Command & General Staff College. Russ has extensive international experience leading multi-country HR teams and managing various global projects including mergers & acquisitions, global hub business model realignment, and opening manufacturing facilities in Central & South America. Russ has worked closely with foreign governments as a senior military officer and liaison on multi-country defense programs.

Russ is the Managing Director of CCL’s San Diego campus with P&L responsibility for CCL’s work in Central and South America, the Western U.S. and Western Canada. A former Senior Faculty member with the Center for Creative Leadership at our Colorado Springs campus, Russ has first-hand experience with the design and delivery of CCL’s custom and open-enrollment leadership solutions.

Russ holds a Master’s Degree in Management and Organization Development from Regis University and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Kansas State University in Political Science with a focus on Eastern European political systems. In addition, Russ is a graduate of the Army’s Command & General Staff College and the Intelligence Officer’s Advanced Course. Russ is also a graduate of the Army’s Facilitator Development Course and National Cryptology Course.

Russ is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management where he earned the Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) designation.
