Biography

Dr. Wang Runming joined the Institute of Biopharmaceutical and Health Engineering (iBHE), Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School as an Assistant Professor (Principal Investigator) in February 2022. He’s been engaged in the research in the interdisciplinary fields of Bioinorganic Chemistry, Microbiology,Biological Engineering and Chemical Biology. He is firmly devoted to expanding the barrier of inorganic pharmaceutics and seeking the antidotes to infectious diseases.

No life will survive without metal and metalloprotein. Dr. Wang’s research directions center on chemical biology and engineering on metalloproteins. Through modulating the structure and function of the key metalloproteins in pathogenic bacteria, virus (including SARS-CoV-2), and eukaryotic cells, with inorganic pharmaceuticals and related chemical/biological tools, he is enthusiastically committed to overcome antimicrobial resistance, COVID-19, malignant tumor, and senescence.
