Biography

Dr. Roslyn Vanessa Fluker; is a unique blend of natural ability, directness, common sense, congeniality, and sincerity. She is completely loyal and totally trustworthy. Her smile radiates her surroundings and she interacts effectively on all levels. Dr. Fluker was assigned as Principal of Jerry L. White Center on August 1, 2019.

Educational accomplishments include being a published author on ProQuest: An Investigation of Why African American Students Choose Not to Participate in Advanced Placement Courses; a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education Curriculum and Instruction; Education Specialist Certificate (Ed.S.) in Special Education Administration; Master of Arts in Teaching (Secondary: Emotional Impairment K-12); Bachelor of Arts in Psychology; full Director and Supervisor approval, and a School Administration Certificate for Central Office.

Notable administrative experience and professional practice include former Principal of Diann Banks-Williamson Educational Center (DBWEC), Special Education Supervisor and Director for the Education Achievement Authority Schools; participation in Harvard’s Graduate School of Education Principal’s Academy; Focus Monitoring Committee, Expulsion Committee for Student Code of Conduct, Test Coordinator, Data Specialist, ACT -Accommodation Coordinator, designated administrator for Resource Coordinating Team (also known as RTI), 504 Coordinator, Adjunct Instructor for Cornerstone University, Independent Contractor for WayneRESA Intermediate School District, and membership of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.
