Robin Earle is happy to share his extensive range of 40 years in the sector; including what he has learnt from starting work with an industrial plant contractor then moving to the investment banking lending and advisory sector working on the Eastern European desk at Morgan Grenfell, including work structuring the first project financing to benefit from an Export Credits Guarantee Department guarantee. He was exposed to the developing Asian infrastructure market having been based in Tokyo and Hong Kong, setting up Deutsche Bank’s Hong Kong-based infrastructure and project finance team. Subsequent to Asia he returned to the UK to be responsible for private sector transport projects and all port projects at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), giving him valuable insight into the workings of the International Development Finance sector. On leaving the EBRD Robin joined and ultimately led the very active London-based infrastructure finance team of the Banco Espirito Santo de Investimento, covering projects both in the UK and overseas and including the transport, social, renewables, energy, oil and gas, sports stadia and telecommunications sectors.
