Roberto Thomas

Roberto is partner in the Real Estate and Planning Department since joining Ramón y Cajal in May 2017.

Roberto has developed his professional career at Clifford Chance, firm where he has worked for more than fourteen years. He has extensive experience on advising and coordinating complex real estate transactions related to real estate agreements, Sale & Leasebacks, sale and purchase agreements, leases, construction agreements, servicing agreements, in relation with different types of assets (residential, offices, shopping centers, hotel, industrial). Likewise, he is specialized in legal review processes for real estate assets and in financings for the acquisition of real estate assets and infrastructures.

Throughout his professional career he has been involved in some of the most relevant transactions in the market, as for example, the acquisition of Aliseda (Banco Popular), the acquisition of Servihabitat (la Caixa), the sale and lease back of the Foster Tower (one of the towers of the former Real Madrid Sport City) or the coordination of the due diligence of all the assets of the Sociedad de Gestión de Activos Procedentes de la Restructuración Bancaria (SAREB), which involved the revision of more than 100,000 assets.
