Biography

Alberta School of Business

As Director of Insight on ATB Financial’s Economics and Research team, Rob examines the economic and social forces that affect Albertans’ quality of life. Before joining ATB, Rob was Vice-President of Research at the Canada West Foundation where he spent almost 20 years analyzing and commenting on a broad array of economic, social and public policy issues. Rob has served as President of the Economics Society of Calgary and is currently the Vice-Chair of the Calgary Arts Academy and an instructor for the University of Alberta’s National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration. Rob is the co-author of The Boiling Frog Dilemma: Saving Canada From Economic Decline and Spiders in Space: Successfully Adapting to Unwanted Change. Rob grew up in Calgary and holds a BA and MA in Political Science from the University of Calgary.
