BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Robert T. Monroe is an Associate Teaching Professor of Information Systems and Computer Science in the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. Previously, Dr. Monroe was the Associate Dean for Carnegie Mellon''s international branch campus in Doha, Qatar. Before joining the faculty at Carnegie Mellon, Dr. Monroe worked in the software industry at a variety of companies including FreeMarkets, IBM, Carnegie Group, and OptiMetrics where he led the conception, design, development, and launch of a wide variety of successful software products and software-based services. Dr. Monroe holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. in Philosophy and Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
