Academic Division: TOIMRichard Goulding is Visiting Lecturer at Babson College in Technology, Innovation, & Operations Management. Richard’s professional background spans senior executive positions in Strategy & Development, Operations, and Private Equity Investment in public and privately held firms. He has held key operating roles at Procter & Gamble, Fidelity Strategic Investments (now Devonshire Investors), Ocean Spray Cranberries among others He has also advised more than twenty firms ranging from start-ups to large, multi-market enterprises, with Board appointments distinguished by his particular expertise in governance, strategy deployment, and new venture risk. Throughout his career, Richard has focused new venture investment and its implications on critical operating activities and the boundaries of the firm. He has leveraged a focused, disruptive equity approach into industry sectors such as consumer products, natural resources, building systems, and technology. His leadership experience within these sectors involves the conception, funding, and commercialization of a half dozen new ventures from seed through growth stage and sale. Richard’s research areas of interest include: • Managing new venture risk • The operating model & network implications of disruptive technologies • Innovation infrastructure in the world’s urban centers He has lectured at the Sloan School of Business in Cambridge, MA as part of Sloan’s Entrepreneurial Strategy and Operations curriculums. Richard currently serves as a co-founder, strategic advisor of Ori Spatial Robotics Systems. He lives in Scituate, MA with his wife and five children.
