Biography
Cardiff Business School
Richard started his academic career in experimental physics completing his PhD in the field of bio-nanotechnology in 2008.
He then joined the mid-tier firm Grant Thornton where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2010 within the Audit department. During his time at Grant Thornton, he had a wide range of client’s from large owner managed businesses with turnovers in excess of £300m, AIM listed companies, large charities and more recently, local authorities and NHS trusts. He currently teaches Financial Reporting and Financial Accounting with research interests in the Audit Market and Audit Quality.
