Supervision areas
I''m interested in supervising research in the thought and literature of medieval and early modern Judaism, especially (though not exclusively) in any of the areas related to my own research interests. I welcome enquiries from potential research students in the following areas:
- medieval and early modern Jewish philosophy, exegesis, science and mysticism;
- Jewish-Christian-Muslim relations and intellectual interaction during the Middle Ages and Early Modern period.
While especially interested in supervising manuscript-based research (primarily Hebrew), I would also consider applications in the field of Jewish literature from the Rabbinic period. At the moment, I''m especially interested in supervising research in the area of thirteenth-century Jewish exegesis in Provence and Italy and its links with contemporary Christian exegesis.
