I am a Lecturer in Translation and Interpreting Studies and currently the Programme Tutor for the MA in Translation and Interpreting Studies in the Division of Languages and Intercultural Studies. I have been involved in translator and interpreter training for over a decade and worked as a freelance translator and interpreter prior to joining academia. My research on public service interpreting is aimed at shaping policy debates on reducing health and social inequalities for some of society’s most vulnerable service users and promoting quality interpreter-mediated services in statutory and non-statutory service contexts.
