Presentation

I am interested in theoretical research and practical models that integrate the humanities and liberal arts in research and teaching at the business school. This involves developing formats for innovative business school education, creating new course syllabi, and writing teaching cases. I am the director of The Business of Teaching Workshop Series and an advisor to various organizations on the topic. Another aspect of my research focuses on institutional pathology and the cultural history of malaise related to self-management and the management of self-managing employees. In recent years, this interest has especially revolved around the affective dimensions of time and boredom in organizations. My current research also involves a project rethinking business strategy through readings of literary classics.
