Smeal College of Business

Rashmi Sharma is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Supply Chain and Information Systems in the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University.  Rashmi teaches Predictive Analytics at the graduate level and Demand Fulfillment and Supply Chain Analytics courses at the undergraduate level. She is also the managing director for the Laboratory for Economics, Management, and Auctions (LEMA), an experimental economics research lab at Penn State.

Prior to coming to Penn State, Rashmi worked in industry for nearly nine years. During that time, she taught courses in programming, data communication, and networking, developed software for work-order management and logistics, and managed the development of manufacturing business intelligence software that incorporated near real-time data collection and reporting as well as data warehousing. Rashmi earned a B.S. degree in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Applications from the University of Rajasthan in India, a Masters in Computer Applications from Indira Gandhi National Open University, India, and an M.B.A and a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University. She has teaching and research interests in the areas of supply chain management, management science, business analytics, incentive design, and workforce management.
