Biography

Indian Institute of Management Indore

Currently Professor of Marketing at IIM Indore, Dr. Nargundkar has been Senior Dean-Academics at IMT Ghaziabad, and Director of IMT Nagpur, IFIM Business School, Bangalore, and PES Institute at Bangalore. He came to PES after teaching stints at IIM Lucknow and IIM Kozhikode. He has conducted faculty development programs all over the country, and started the PES Business Review, a scholarly journal.

He has four major books to his credit- Marketing Research, Services Marketing and International Marketing, and Brand Management (co-authored with Bhagyalaksmi Venkatesh). His current research interests are Social Media, Digital Marketing, Tourism and Retailing.

He has a B.E. from Osmania University, PGDM from IIMB and Ph.D. from Clemson University. His work has been published in journals including the Academy of Management Journal, USA and Journal of Global Marketing, USA. Pothi.com has published his autobiography titled “My Experiments with Half-truths,” available online. He is a keen golfer and blogger.

Manoharan.2010: Presented a paper titled Re-orienting, Re-engineering and Branding G to C Services in India, for the 2010 Academy of Indian Marketing International Conference on Emerging Markets in the New World Order-The Paradigm shift, 16-18 December, 2010, New Delhi.
