Biography
Rafael Tenorio is a professor of economics and program director of business strategy and decision making in the Driehaus College of Business. He has been at DePaul since 1999, and teaches courses on business strategy, strategic decision making and game theory, economics for decision-making, and strategy and competition policy.
Tenorio chaired the college research committee between 2000 and 2005, and has served both in the college promotion and tenure committee and the economics department MBA curriculum committee. Tenorio has organized the economics department research seminar series since 1999.
Tenorio's research interests are in applied game theory, microeconomics and strategic decision-making. His work has been published in various refereed journals such as Management Science, the Journal of International Economics, the Economic Journal, Economic Theory, The Journal of Industrial Economics, and The Review of Economics and Statistics.
Tenorio has served as a referee/reviewer for several institutions, such as The National Science Foundation, The Canada Social Science Research Council and the International Testing Service, as well as numerous academic journals, including The American Economic Review, Management Science, The Journal of Finance and The American Journal of Political Science. He has received curriculum development grants from Procter & Gamble and the Lilly Endowment, and many research grants from both DePaul University and the University of Notre Dame.
