Rafael Martins de Lima

Rafael Martins de Lima has been CEO of martinsdelima since 2010. Specialized in expert services in the areas of Corporate Finance, M&A, Finance & Engineering, Capital Markets, Renewable Energy, Waste Management, and Risk Management.

During his professional career, he has served as a Consultant at McKinsey & Co., Director of Business Planning at Amadeus, General Director at Banco Santander, Managing Director at Grupo Hera. He has also carried out numerous engineering and financial operations, with special emphasis on M&A and business development operations.

Industrial Engineer with an Enabling Master with specialty in Industrial Organization at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI. Besides, he completed his education with an MBA from INSEAD as well as a Doctorate in Economics and Finance from UNED.

He has taught as a university and postgraduate professor at IE Business School for 20 years in the areas of Structured Products and Derivatives, Fixed Income, Capital Markets, and Business and Project Financing.

Much of his professional career has been spent as CEO of martinsdelima. From this position, he has been in charge of writing forensic reports to defend in International Arbitration Courts (Paris, London). He has also been in charge of M&A transactions as well as the valuation of different businesses in areas as broad as Renewable Energy, Intellectual Property, or Financial Institutions.
