Rachel Van Brocklin is the Director of Communications at Colorado Succeeds, where she leads communications strategies for the organization, including advocacy, brand awareness, marketing, and strategic campaigns and initiatives. Rachel is passionate about educational equity and supporting all learners in reaching their full potential, which guides both her approach to communication and partnership with business, community, and education leaders.

Rachel has nearly 15 years of experience in education and communications and spent the decade prior to joining the Colorado Succeeds team working at the intersection of the two. Most recently, Rachel led communications for Rocky Mountain Prep, where she supported the charter school network as it grew from one-and-a-half to four fully built-out schools across the Denver Metro area.

She also worked as a communications consultant at Colorado-based agency SE2, supporting organizations such as the Colorado Department of Human Services, the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, and K12 Inc. She began her career in the classroom as a Teach For America corps member in Aurora, Colorado.

Rachel has a bachelor’s degree in public administration from New York University and a master’s degree in public administration with focus in nonprofit management from the University of Colorado Denver. She lives in Denver with her husband, Brad, their son, Jacob, and Bernese Mountain Dog, Jean Baptiste.
