About me

Quang Evansluong is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Law, Bristol Business School (BBS), University of the West of England (UWE), UK. He is affiliated to the Entrepreneurship Research Group at BBS. He is also a Broman Visiting Researcher at the Gothenburg Research Institute, University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Evansluong earned his PhD in Entrepreneurship at the Jönköping International Business School, Jönköping University in Sweden.

His research interests center on immigrant entrepreneurship, the entrepreneurial opportunity creation process, social integration, diversity, sustainable entrepreneurship, digital entrepreneurship and sports entrepreneurship.

Evansluong is working on research projects investigating​ (1) transnational roles of family in the process of entrepreneurial opportunity creation among immigrant entrepreneurs in the UK and Sweden (2) the entrepreneurial process in digital entrepreneurship among immigrant and returnee entrepreneurs in Vietnam and Sweden and (3) the influences of social media in the integration process of immigrants in Sweden.

For his doctoral dissertation, Evansluong studied entrepreneurial opportunity creation as an integration process among immigrant entrepreneurs in Sweden.  He was a key member in a number of research projects funded by Vinnova (Sweden''s Innovation Agency) and STINT (The Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education) on developing business models integrating remittance transfer and savings services in developing countries; mobilizing international competences for regional development and diaspora as wealth creators.

As a practitioner, Evansluong is an experienced business developer and a business mentor in mentoring programs in Jönköping, Sweden. He has also established a start-up in the tourism sector in Sweden. 

Recently, Evansluong has been involved in the project ''Integrera Mera Jönköping''. He acts as an adviser bridging between research and practice supporting practitioners and policy makers in addressing the social challenges of immigration to integrate immigrants into the labor market and into the Swedish society. ​
