Indian Institute of Management Indore

Dr. Prashant Salwan is permanent faculty of strategy and international business at the Indian Institute of Management Indore, India. He is also the Chair of the Executive Postgraduate Program in Management (EPGPM). He is an alumnus of London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom. He is the first Indian to be awarded two prestigious scholarships, Chevening Scholarship by the UK government and Fulbright Scholar by the USA.

He has about twelve years of academic experience and eight years experience in industry. He has PhD (Technology Management and Strategy), two post graduate degrees in Management and International trade. He has been educated and trained at University of Pune, London School of Economics and Political Science (UK), Harvard Business School (USA), University of Michigan (USA), Ross School of Management (USA), IIM B and IIM C. He has also undergone training in leadership for higher education institutes in University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (USA).

He has delivered invited guest lectures at Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania; Ohio State University; and the University of Texas at Dallas. He has provided customized training and consulting to Government of India and Indian and foreign multinationals such as LG, Panasonic, Thomas Cook, ADAG, ONGC, GAIL, Aditya Birla Group, EIL, IPCA, ICICI Bank, and SBI. He was the lead researcher for the Indian Competitiveness project by Government of India and lead consultant for World Bank.

Salwan has twenty-eight research publications in national and international research journals, including Journal of International Business and Education, Indian Journal of Industrial Relations, Indian Management Journal, Journal of Management and Technology, and Defence Science Journal. He has co-authored four textbooks. His current research interest is in reinventing business models, business model innovation, international strategic networks and co-creation
