Biography

A. Prabaharan holds Ph.D, M.Phil and M.A degrees in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. B.A in Philosophy from the Madras Christian College. Lectured in more than twenty five countries on digital society, globalisation and gender development, he passionately applies his research findings for sustainable global development.

UNESCO, CERN, University of British Columbia, University of Cambridge, University of Karlstad, Australian National University, University of Western Cape Town, Kadir Has University, Istanbul, Copenhagen Business School and other reputed institutions have awarded him with academic distinctions. President of India gold medal was presented to him for all round contributions. Jitendra Rodricks Gold Medal for the first rank at the University of Madras in Philosophy, Stanley Gold Medal for the first rank in Psychology, Parathasarthy Iyengar Prize for the best NSS leadership, Social Ethics Medal and 25 other gold medals for top class performance in academics, leadership, community service and all round development. Recipient of William Shakespeare Award from Times of India for the best interjections
